Measuring and Reporting Emissions Guidance for the Transport Sector

Transportation & Logistics

By Daniel Salter

/
This project aims to empower transportation companies to better understand and track their logistics emissions on a granular, operational level—and aims to quantify the footprint of end-to-end logistics emissions.
Most transportation and logistics companies report their emissions data in different ways, hobbling efforts to effectively track pollutants and progress in the sector. That’s why Amazon, Convoy, Uber, and other companies are committed to adopting an industry-wide reporting standard that can help increase sustainable practices.

This project lets companies better understand their emissions data on a granular level to capture the true carbon footprint of end-to-end logistics emissions. From there, the industry can work together to curb pollutants even as demand for freight transport is projected to almost triple by 2050.
